Changing your virtual background in Microsoft Teams is easy. When you are on a video call click on the ellipsis in the meeting and select "Show background effects". The background settings will fly out from the right side and you will have the option to select one of the backgrounds preloaded by the Microsoft Windows Team. Click one of the images and then click the Preview button. All good? Click Apply and your background will change from your family room to a virtual background image or even video.
Want to express yourself a little more? Add a custom background. Adding a custom background is easy. You have to find a special folder on your Windows PC. Open File Explorer and paste this into the address bar "%APPDATA%MicrosoftTeamsBackgrounds". Open the Uploads folder and copy the background image to the Uploads folder. We recommend using the same file size as the default customer backgrounds which is 1920 X 1080.
